Nine Fun Furcadia Facts!

    1. Parts of Furcadia date back to 1994! We even have staff members in Cypress Homes which are younger than the game! And having been released in 1996, it's the world's longest continuously running MMORPG.
    2. There's a fun "easter egg" in Furcadia which many people don't know about. Say "credits" to see a fancy animation listing everyone who worked on Furc ... including bouncing kiwis!
    3. The server has currently been running without a restart for two months. This is a record!
    4. For many years, the game was maintained by just two programmers!
    5. Before Naia Green's introduction in 2004, the Mature map Hawthorn was once a bright and airy map named New Haven, with a Help Desk!
    6. Many of the main maps have the anagram "Washergear" written in inaccessible areas. Can you guess which DEP staff member it references?
    7. The original Dragon avatar was different from the one that exists now.
    8. A long, long time ago, a "Message Center" which would allow you to draw messages with stickers and text and send them to people was planned. The unfinished version has since been removed... but some art still remains in the default patches!
    9. What would you think if you saw blue walls walking around? That's what happened in 2004! Some people couldn't update the game properly and they saw moving walls in place of the Squirrel avatar! How creepy...

Try offering your services as a decorator! People are always looking for one, and willing to pay handsome prices! This could be your lucky chance to buy the furniture you'd always had your eye on... Once you've got it, don't forget that you can store it in the bank and keep it forever!

Why not host events in your house? A large house like 13, 33 or 10 is a perfect choice for a decorating contest, or perhaps a custom-built racetrack. Your excellent skills as a host and your generous prizes are sure to make you the talk of the town. Make sure you set your permissions correctly and don't leave your prizes out in the open, though.

Summer is approaching and temperatures are rising. Why not get out of the sweltering heat and do some bug hunting in the shady forest? This oft-neglected activity needs your love! June will be your lucky month in this area. Grab a net and go!
